Second Year Students showcased their work in March in Manchester, in a joint exhibition ' Contours and Outlines'.
This joint exhibition focuses on body positivity and the acceptance of our flaws. Modern day living is filled with choices and societal expectations dictating our everyday lives. This exhibition aims to challenge the notion that we have to adhere to a certain body type, a certain appearance of our skin free of any marks – instead this is a celebration of everything that we are typically taught to hide away such as scars and stretch marks.
It is about embracing yourself for who you are, and about breaking down the idea that you have to shape your body to match what is often featured on the media, in magazines and popular culture.
